I’m confused. Do pro-lifers only care about fetuses? These people say they’re religious, but it always seems that the most religious people are the people you should never turn your back on.

Sunday morning Dr. George Tiller went to church with his wife and was killed  doing something he is legally allowed to do. How this makes the murder different than the 9/11 terrorists is beyond me.

Leaders of the anti-abortion movement have said that the pro-choice side shouldn’t make this an issue. Here’s why – they realize that this challenges the logic of their movement.  A man walks into a  church  and shoots a man who was there to worship. He did this because he loves life so much, he decided to kill.

A few weeks ago when Obama spoke at the Notre Dame graduation he said the following:

“Because no matter how much we may want to fudge it — indeed, while we know that the views of most Americans on the subject are complex and even contradictory — the fact is that at some level, the views of the two camps are irreconcilable.”

We will never agree – but we need to abide by the laws in this country – the anti-abortion lobby stands in a position that will always have them opposite of the law in this country.  And unfortunately – it seems once you find yourself pushing the line on what’s legal and what’s illegal, murder doesn’t seem that unreasonable.
