I’ve tried to dial down my Hillary bashing of late but some times her team is infuriating. Now they’re complaining about the Texas caucus/vote system that’s been on the books since she was the 20+ point front-runner. Now she’s not and she’s complaining.
I’m hoping that Obama wins Texas this Tuesday not [...]

Man, he’s a dick. This debate shows why debates are useless. The entire debate was about laying traps - example: “What is the President of Russia’s name?” The whole denouncing or rejecting Louis Farrakhan subject. I guess it’s too much to wish for more policy, but I think we’re looking for someone [...]
Ralph Nader has joined the race. Before we Democrats get our knickers in a bunch - Nader won’t have an effect on the race…at least he shouldn’t. Nader made this comment on Meet the Press today:
“If the Democrats can’t landslide the Republicans this year, they ought to just wrap up, close down, emerge in a [...]
Looks like Al Gore is taking the high road and won’t be endorsing a candidate during the primaries.
From CNN:
The sources say Gore talks with both Clinton and Obama, and is on good terms with both. But with Sen. John Kerry and Bill Clinton both aligned to a candidate, Gore has a role to serve as [...]
What a crazy week. I’ve been so busy at work. I haven’t had a chance to look at my Google Reader account and should be working instead posting. Anyway.
Watching MSNBC right now and Mike Huckabee has the line of the night “[Senator Romney] has taken both sides of the whining issue.” The more I listen [...]
So it’s not just me. From Bob Cesca’s blog on the Huffington Post:
…but now that it’s a two person race, there’s no reason why the progressive blogosphere shouldn’t get down to endorsing a candidate. And while the endorsements could easily be for either Senator Obama or Senator Clinton, they ought to be, by-in-large, endorsements that [...]
I have to admit we didn’t watch the full debate - we’re watching it in pieces right now. Seems like it was really cordial affair and an actual discussion about the issues. The Iraq question wasn’t a good one for Hillary. Neither was the Bill Clinton question. I do think she’s a better debater than [...]
Ostensibly A Rubber Door is about anything that's on my mind. Mostly that seems to be about politics, music, sports, and arguing with others about all of the above. I took the name of this blog from a Michael Penn song called Me Around. Check out Michael - he's about the best singer/songwriter there is.
