Spaceship in the Desert

Spaceship in the Desert

From the Phoenix office of A Rubber Door – the Random 10 Christmas edition:

  1. Winter Wonderland – Aimee Mann
  2. Santa Baby – Eartha Kitt
  3. Do They Know It’s Christmas – Barenaked Ladies
  4. There’s No Santa Claus – The Yobs
  5. Let It Snow – Dean Martin
  6. La Mari Morena – Septeto TrajeNuevo
  7. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing – Sufjan Stevens
  8. My Merry Christmas Song – Johnny Cash
  9. It Came Upon a Midnight Clear – Mahalia Jackson
  10. Christmas in Las Vegas – Los Straitjackets

Enjoying the plus 60 temps, but rainy skies here in Glendale, Arizona – home of the spaceship in the desert otherwise known as the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Hope everyone is having a Merry Christmas or if you don’t celebrate, this random holiday in December.

  1. Merry Christmas Spencer (& Kristen!) (A bit late…but today’s the first morning I’ve slept past 7AM in weeks and weeks, so I’m celebrating.)

We don’t have nearly enough flying-saucer-shaped building in the Delaware Valley. Although I think there is at least one shaped like a cup and saucer…?

  2. @Cyn – Thank you (a bit late myself).

Christmas is a lot of work isn’t it? i’m going to miss it though. As for the flying saucer, it only works in Glendale because there’s so much space around it – you can see it for miles – and that makes it more impressive. It wouldn’t work here in the densely populated east – because otherwise it’s pretty ugly.
