Sorry for another YouTube post, but I hardly ever post about sports, so unless you know me personally, you probably don’t have an idea how I live and die with the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. I also follow the Sixers, but the NBA is such a horrible product, I wouldn’t call myself a devoted fan. The curse of William Penn was coined because no Philadelphia team has won a championship since the statue of William Penn on Philadelphia City Hall was replaced as the tallest structure in the city.
I can’t wait for this curse to be moot - but doesn’t the waiting make the winning even sweeter?
Anyway, songwriter Ryan Parker has summed it all up in song, and I figured I’d share.
Ostensibly A Rubber Door is about anything that's on my mind. Mostly that seems to be about politics, music, sports, and arguing with others about all of the above. I took the name of this blog from a Michael Penn song called Me Around. Check out Michael - he's about the best singer/songwriter there is.
