Best Albums of 2006

Procrastinated enough. Not really procrastination as much as indecision. There were some great releases in November and December that I wanted to consider fully.

  1. No Neko Case? I thought that was a great album.

I’ve only two albums off this list. Our musical interests are either diverging or more likely I’m slacking!

  2. I have a very complicated process in which every month I create a new list in iTunes (e.g. there’s a list named January 2007). Every new album I get in a month, I add to that month’s list. Those lists are in a folder named for the year – so there’s a list for 2007 for example. To add to the complexity – there are multiple best of lists that are driven by the ratings I give songs – so there’s a “Best of 2006” list as an example of this.

With all this – it’s pretty easy for me to know what I listened to in a given year. Also, it forces me to listen to things that I have gotten, and then also rotate things out of the rotation.
