What is the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle

Only the best toy ever. I never had a big wheel. I would give away my G.I. Joe. All for any Evil Knievel toy.

Grace asked what the Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle was. It was a motorcycle toy that you cranked up and sent Evel rolling across the floor (asphalt, concrete, carpet – whatever). My sister had the girl version – Derry Daring (wouldn’t you loved to have come up with toy names in the seventies?) It was the most popular toy at the time – ask any guy from the age of 37 to 40 and they’ll know the toy (Grace – ask your husband).

And if you don’t know who Evel Knievel is, you’re too young.

    Greatest toy ever.

    I launched Evil down flights of stairs, into walls and through traffic. If more kids had this toy, less of them would be trying “X Game” their own sorry asses into a coma.

    You didnt have to hurl yourself off your garage roof into the pool on a bike. Evil would take those lumps for you.

    If every child had this toy, emergency room visits across the nation would be on the decline.

    I am sure of it.

    Hand these toys to every child in the Middle East.
    The world might “stunt jump” its way to world peace.

    You’ll see. You hand these out, everyone will start wearing plaid pants, listening to 8-tracks and putting up wood-panel on the walls of their basement.

    Fucking groovy.

    Well, it would be pathetic if you called out sick or refused sex because you needed more time with it. I trust you will make it respectable own one. Then, I won’t have to feel bad about getting one, too.

    I still have my Derry Daring with the still functional motorcycle and launch ramp. It all still works.

    Got new replication of of stunt cycle. it’s crap. Goes 6-12 feet if you’re lucky enough not to have it come out of the launcher while cranking. My old one was my favorite toy too. I’m sure that time has enhanced my memories of the stunt cycle, but the new one does not compare.

    I had one of these it was my bestest toy ever well next bestest to my Raio Shack 300 in 1 science project kit! lmao But Evel would go everywhere and I was so amazed by how the gyro always kept him upright and going! My 5 year old son wants a cheap remote controlled motorcycle, I would much rather get him one of these I know he would get so much more fun out of it. I was so happy to hear they still made them but I read below where the new ones are crap! Figures!! Technological prowess and oh so much Progress!!! right??!!??
