Wonder what the treatment is.

I’m much less concern about the spotted dick than wondering what the hell sponge pudding is.

Oddly enough, I’ve heard of this before (even here in the sheltered USA), usually in the same discussions that make fun of Australia’s “Vege-mite” and Japan’s various varieties of “fish balls” and the like…

But the pic accompanying the Wikipedia article is even better, in that it’s “Microwaveable Spotted Dick”, which I suppose would have to have some advantage…
