I figured this might be a fun excercise and a way to get people to comment. So here’s the question, in your own words tell me what George Bush and his administration has given this country. It can be positive, negative, funny - whatever you want.
Be creative. Think outside that proverbial box.
Come back and look every once in awhile - and then vote this November. Here are a few to get you started

I took the name of this blog from a Michael Penn song called Me Around. Check out Michael - he's about the best singer/songwriter there is.

Alito wasn’t a justice on the Supreme Court.

3,000+ U.S. and Coalition soldiers were still alive.
More than 50,000 Iraqis were still alive, albeit less “free.”
Our country had a budget surplus.
Women around the world had better access to information on birth control.
Separation between church and state existed.
Presidents had policy specialists develop policy, not the political arm of their party.
Secret trials, widepsread torture mandates and illegal wiretapping were not sanctioned by the Commander-in-Chief.
Stem cell research wasn’t roadblocked.
I could go on all day, but I’ll cede the floor to someone else.

Good thoughts.
This reminds me of a great book you should check out.
Its called, “What We’ve Lost” by Graydon Carter. He is the editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair. This book chronicles the first four years of the Bush administration. The worst part is that we have had 2 additional years since and we still have two more until its over.
Its almost like a jail sentence, isnt it?
I want to “thank” him for making our country a nation where religious freaks and soccer moms are no longer marginalized for being the zealots they are. Now, they make policies by crying really loud.
Thanks for the “new fascism”.
