Does anything suck more than changing email addresses? I’ve had a .Mac email address for years - it comes along with a bunch of features, but costs about $70 per year. I never killed it because I didn’t want to change addresses, but finally I decided to cave. I’ll replace my email address with a gmail account and photo sharing with Flickr.
The whole process of setting up an account so it works the way you want it to, notifying all your friends, changing subscriptions, learning how Gmail works is a pain in the ass.
Speaking of moving - I moved from Blogger to Wordpress a few months back because of all the problems I had there and today Google rolled out a new Blogger platform. Let’s hope they improved the server reliability too. I wish I had known this was coming - moving blogs is almost as bad as changing email addresses. Almost.
Sphere: Related ContentOstensibly A Rubber Door is about anything that's on my mind. Mostly that seems to be about politics, music, sports, and arguing with others about all of the above. I took the name of this blog from a Michael Penn song called Me Around. Check out Michael - he's about the best singer/songwriter there is.

I LOVE GMAIL!
But yeah, it does suck to change things over. I’m sure there are people I’ve lost contact with just bc of that.
