He’s the leader of the free world – George Bush

You’ve got to love the conversation that our President is having while the mid-east burns.   My favorite is “You eight hours? Me, too. Russia’s a big country and you’re a big country,”     Why thank you George – I didn’t know that.

Don’t you wonder if the other leaders are sitting there laughing their asses off?

    The weirdest phenomenon in my head this morning is that I somehow feel somewhat more respect for Mr. Bush after hearing him say “tell them to stop doing this shit” when he didn’t know the microphones were on.

    Somehow the genuine quality of that almost makes me feel that he may occasionally have a clue, as opposed to the badly-written, badly-rehearsed, badly-delivered, deer-in-the-headlights speeches and soundbites we’re usually treated to.

    It’s kind of an uncomfortable feeling!

    It kind of reminds me of those news reports where the reporter asks a child about current events and the child says something pithy, cute, and even though it’s a simplistic view of things, accurate.

    And then the reporter ends the report by saying “Out of the mouths of babes. Back to you Jim.”

    Radiocynic, please don’t ever let me hear you say anything again about having even the teeniest tiniest bit of respect for G.W.B.!

    Although I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that your “somewhat more respect” meant you went from zero respect to infinitesimal (what’s the smallest unit of measurement?) respect.
